This film addresses race and politics in a wonderfully sly, “Borat” fashion that takes full advantage of its diverse cast and War on Terror setting. And this is where “Guantanamo Bay” outstrips its predecessor. But … he does a lot more than just drive around with them (don’t want to spoil everything). But instead of Freakshow suggesting a foursome, we have Gitmo guards forcing Islamic prisoners to eat “cock-meat sandwiches.” (Thanks to her we get to watch Kumar weep like a lovesick tween. But instead of just Maria (Paula Garcés) - the object of Harold’s (John Cho) affection, in Amsterdam at the end of “White Castle” - we have Kumar’s ex, Vanessa (Danneel Harris), who is engaged to a yuppie Texan pretty boy. But instead of the sexy bare-chested wife of Freakshow (Christopher Meloni, who returns in another freakish role) the redneck, we have a “bottomless party” where all the girls are …well … bottomless (and yes, they show it all), plus a trip to a whorehouse where two topless chicks make out with each other.
